The Aeneid is a Latin epic poem. It tells the story of Aeneas, a Trojan who travelled to Italy after the Trojan War, where he founded Rome and became the ancestor of the Romans. Book I, specifically, introduces Aeneas and his nemesis, the goddess, Juno. Virgil explains why Juno is angry at Aeneas and wants to kill him along his journey.
